As the population booms, houses are being built all around town and the schools are filled to the brim with eager students.  New businesses are following the trend and providing residents with a wide array of products and services anyone can enjoy.

Kings Harbor Bliss
Kings Harbor, the new retail center near Lake Houston on West Lake Houston Parkway, has plenty of different eateries for the pickiest of tastes.  Raffa’s American Bistro was the first restaurant to open in the center, and was shortly followed by the opening of Two Gems Ice Cream and Zammitti’s.

The center will also welcome Chimichurri’s South American Grill, the Jackal Bar, Imagine That, the Wine Loft and Como se Dice, a modern Mexican café with a twist, which are all expected to be open by early summer.

“We have all be so excited with the openings of these restaurants and look forward to the rest of them opening,” Connie Carey, marketing director for Midway companies, who owns Kings Harbor, said.

“Unfortunately, Johnny Rocket’s will not be coming to Kings Harbor due to circumstances beyond our control.  The franchise was unable to fulfill the lease agreements so the great location is still available for rent.”

In addition to places to eat, several businesses such as Joseph Chris Partners, Woodforest National Bank and Chicago Title and residential Properties, the Harbor Walk Apartments and Regent Square Brownstones inhabit the center.

Coventry Homes will soon build town homes for Kings Harbor while Harbor View Apartments and Sunrise Senior Living Center will call Kings Harbor home starting in mid-June.

“The great thing about Kings Harbor is that it is located on Lake Houston and the restaurants and residential areas are taking advantage of that.  The patios facing the water at Raffa’s, Chimichurri’s and Zammitti’s let the customer relax and enjoy a nice dinner at the water’s edge,” Carey said.
